Upgraded Nursing Resource - Nursing Reference Center Plus

The College Library is pleased to announce that we have upgraded from our current basic Nursing Reference Center to Nursing Reference Center Plus. Nursing Reference Center Plus is an evidence-based information resource focusing on ensuring that staff nurses, nurse educators, nursing residents, and nursing students have quick and easy access to the most current information to provide the best care possible to their patients.

To access the Library's electronic resources;

• Log in to Portal.
• Click the "Connect to Library Databases" (blue cylinder icon) from the Launch Pad, then select the resources you need from the list.
• OR
• Click the "College Library" (books icon) form the Launch Pad, then click the labeled "Library Resources-Research". Then select the resources you need from the list.

Weekly Bible Study

Weekly Bible Study will be held in the Library Commons Conference Room. It will recur every week on Thursday from August 28 to December 14, 2014. Dr. Davild Whidden will lead this study for 45 minutes (11:30 AM - 12:15 PM).

SGA Welcome Week Pizza Day

The SGA will be hosting Welcome Week Pizza Day at the Library Commons on Wednesday, August 27th, from 10:30 am -2 pm. Come join us for free pizza and lemonade!

 

There will be also Painting Classes, Photo Booth, & Power Bank Chargers. Please call Kristi at 225-768-1728 to reserve your seat for the painting class to create a FLEUR-DE-LIS (Time slots available 10:30-12:30). 

 

 

 

Campus Closed on Aug. 7, 2014

Our whole campus including the Library & Library Commons will be closed on August 7th at 11 am due to the annual college assembly except the Bursar and Financial Aid offices. Please email us at Library@ololcollege.edu while we are closed.

11th Annual Louisiana Book Festival

The 2014 Louisiana Book Festival will take place on Nov. 1 in downtown Baton Rouge at the State Library of Louisiana, the State Capitol, the Capitol Park Museum, Capitol Park Welcome Center and nearby locations (Click here to view the Festival).
